In April of 2000, three fellas met and played alot together in a TDM Nova server:
Groundfighter, Littleman and ARTAQ. Eventually that server was done away with by Nova, so the 3 new friends started playing
in Joker's Wild. In November of 2000 they started a squad together and slowly brought in new members that they had met in
Joker's.
They never expected to play matches, just figured they would all hang out on RogerWilco and play daily. Eventually they
joined a few other squads (mz, ][-][ and muz/faz) as always being at the top of the score board. ARTAQ began to grow bored
with the 5 same maps day in and day out, and decided to venture into Pub's where he found an entirely new world of even
better competition and maps.
Shortly thereafter *A/F* became competitive in TDM. After some fantastic matches where they won some, and lost some, in
early 2003 they decided to move over to the new DF series: BHD, and slowly phased out their DF2 division. They played
competitively in BHD until January of 2004 when they decided to "retire" as a squad...life had gotten too busy.
Then in 2008 ARTAQ got back into gaming again, and was drawn back to DF2. Starting the recruiting process, he was able to
quickly fill up a roster with many old contacts and new friends alike. By July of 2008, *A/F* once again became competitive
by scheduling and playing matches in a much broader spectrum of game types...namely, any and all of them.
